Rubitah Abraham|Baby blogger- only 9 months old 2

Hi all!

I feel so honored to have been invited to this community of such inspiring women-bloggers. Thank you so much Lynne for the opportunity to connect with you all and I really look forward to making some long term relationships here.

My name is Rubitah and and my website or blog is called Being Rubitah, where I write my heart out on topics concerning faith, marriage, parenting, health and Bahrain.

I live an ordinary life in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with my husband and son, though I belong to my dearest country India.

I had a scientist of a grandfather which led me to believe that I should be one too! So I completed a degree in Mathematics only to realize that I didn’t quite enjoy it.

I then went on to form a christian musical group which did really well in it’s short life span. However, when someone suggested me to pursue performing arts, my heart rang a bell and I dropped the whole thing.

One thing that always stuck to my heart and I enjoyed doing, was volunteering for different causes.Thankfully my mother recognized it and encouraged me to apply for a post-graduate degree in social work. I humbly complied.

The course was a total eye-opener and it helped me to find my true self. I became more confident of my views and realized my need to be more forgiving of myself. More than anything else- it gave me gratitude.

Post the degree I worked for a social enterprise in New Delhi in the area of volunteering. I loved my job! From motivating people of different capacities to work for social causes with their skills, to helping non profits find useful resources and mentors, to carrying out campaigns myself, I had some great experiences there!

Two years later I got married and moved to the Gulf, where unfortunately, my social work goals could not continue. I went on to becoming a mother and feeling quite content at it. The stay at home phenomenon though started to bug me soon. Being a social worker I was always updated about everything. Being a full time mother, I was still updated but I had no one to share it with.

Hence in November 2018, after a lot of pushing and persuading from my family, and with no prior experience in writing, I started my blog. Its been 9 months and I have to admit I have enjoyed it!

I have learnt so much in this short period although I know I have a long way to go!

This platform is so refreshing in the sense that it genuinely aims at building relationships.

Hope to be friends with all of you! 🙂

PS: It;s my birthday tomorrow!

Welcome @beingrubitah – it is wonderful to have you join us! I am also so passionate about blogging – I find it so therapeutic and it really suits me as a mother to work from home and make money online.

I’m so pleased that you understand what we are trying to achieve with this website and that our goal is to create relationships that are deep and meaningful so can all work together to achieve our common goals!

It seems that, like me, you have tried a number of things to find a way to make an income while doing something that really speaks to you!

I look forward to getting to know you better!

@lynne Thank you for your warm welcome! I hope to be in touch with you too. 🙂

I am still new to the whole “work from home” ambit so I actually haven’t tried much on the “income generating” part as yet . At present my only income (a meager amount) comes from writing content for 2 social enterprises.

Having a toddler at home and work at the same time, is really difficult especially if there is no help. So I’m trying to manage with what I can, as of now, focusing on my blog (mostly). It will definitely get better when my son starts with preschool.

I am open to opportunities though and I am still to try many other aspects of blogging for income like affiliate marketing etc. I hope I can learn more about these aspects from established bloggers like you.

      Looking forward .:)

@beingrubitah Yes I know exactly what that feels like! My kids are now 7 and 5 years old but I have been working from home since before they were born and I juggled it all without any help. Thankfully now it is a lot easier and all that hard work has really been worth it.

        Happy happy birthday for today!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It’s a good day today. 🙂

Welcome to the group, @beingrubitah! I look forward to getting to know you better since I already feel a connection after reading your intro! Like you and @lynne I also tried various things before finding my niche (and finding myself!) I think it’s quite common for people to train in one field, believing that’s the right path. Then they find themselves in a totally different place. Best wishes for your birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday! I am new here, but not new to blogging. I started my blog with no experience in writing, other than school reports. The creative bug quickly took over. I think your experience will give you a lot to draw from when it comes to writing posts for your blog. I can’t wait to learn more!
