Rachel Gerard | A D V E N T U R O U S R A Y | lifestyle, mamahood, food, style 2

My blog and Instagram are essentially my online diary where I share all things from lifestyle, food, beauty, style, DIY, to all things family and motherhood. It is a place where I document my journey as a twenty-something mama and woman trying to understand this crazy thing we call life.

I was born and raised in small town Ontario, Canada, into a big family (with 5 siblings!) on a farm. Growing up with a more simple life has helped me to appreciate and reflect on exploring the ordinary to find fulfillment everyday– instead of waiting for the next vacation or trip to the beach.

I went through university for my BBA, specializing in marketing and international geopolitics. I worked in the fast-paced corporate world for 4 years right out of school, and now consider myself a recovering workaholic (ha ha). I now live in The Blue Mountains, Ontario, with my husband Tyler, sons Archer and Leonidas, and our dog Valkyrie. Being a mom is my first priority these days, but when I am not busy momming I am working through real estate courses to be a broker and working on this blog and my YouTube channel.

Here I will explore the adventure in the everyday. Our world is fast paced and we miss the wonder and beauty in the little things that make life fulfilling. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to travel the world to find adventure (although it doesn’t hurt!). I share with you my daily thoughts, DIYs, tips through motherhood, beauty and style advice. From my more personal posts to my beauty posts, I hope Adventurous Ray inspires you to learn something new and seek adventure in the everyday.

I am so happy to have you here @adventurousray – your blog sounds fantastic so I really must head on over and have a look soon. I’ve been following your Instagram for a while and love it.

You know I nearly grew up in Canada? My parents looked into immigrating when I was small but they went there to scout out Vancouver and when they got home my mother just said it is way too cold and Canada will never happen!

Do you have your own website or are you on social media only?

What a beautiful introduction, Rachel @adventurousray! How wonderful to practice living in the moment and stopping to smell the flowers! You’re right about how hectic life has become — we do miss some of those precious moments! I look forward to following your blog. All the very best with what you are doing! I visited my friend in Canada in 2013 and had a fabulous three weeks there. It’s great to meet you here!

Hi Rachel! It’s so good to meet you!
Please tell me you share tips for recovering workaholics? Haha! I’m one too and need to learn to take a step back.
I don’t have kids, so there’s nothing really to pull me away from my work when my husband’s not around and even when he’s home I find myself on social media or with my laptop on the couch working while we watch TV together.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you and seeing all your amazing content!
