Heather | Mommy Blogger- Pregnancy and Parenting 2

Hi Ladies!

My name is Heather Hoke and I am so excited to be a part of this community. I have to say I am quite intimidated by all of your amazing accomplishments.

I am brand new to the blogging world. I just launched my Mommy Blog http://www.embracingchaoswithlove.com and am still figuring out everything. I don’t have much content yet but am working hard at it and trying to grow my blog. I am so thankful I found this group.

I am a stay at home mom of two. My daughter will be 4 in October and my son just turned 2 last month. My husband thankfully is able to support our family so I can stay home. We just celebrated our 13 year anniversary this month.

I previously was working retail and stopped working to go back to school and finish my degree in Microbiology. I put that on hold once I got pregnant with our first and then second. Once I felt comfortable enough leaving them with someone I went back once again to finish. I just graduated in May! I’m happy I graduated but at the same time am not ready to leave my children to go back to work the conventional way. So I reflected on what I am passionate about, which is being a mom, and thought about ways to monetize that. And here I am.

I hope to grow my blog and be able to monetize one day and then start to become a Mompreneur. I feel this is the perfect platform to try to do that. I look forward to learning and growing with all of you. My husband would love to go back to school himself sometime soon and pursue his dream of becoming a teacher. I am hoping to be able to help our family financially so that he is able to do that.

My blog will be focusing on Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Parenting- focusing on all things newborns-toddlers, and baby led weaning. I hope to somewhat utilize my Biology background by added some Science related info (the why’s and how’s) into my posts.

I am in the process of building all of my social media presences connected to my blog. Right now I have my FB page https://www.facebook.com/embracingchaoswithlove/

I look forward to working with you all and supporting you all! Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction!

The introductions I commented on were Lynne and Felicia.
I loved Lynne’s introduction and her story of her journey so far. She is amazing to start this wonderful group and I was inspired by all she has accomplished thus far.
I also loved Felicia’s post. I connected to her immediately due to her military background and her spouse being a veteran. I am the spouse of an Army Veteran. So her story connected with me. I also am trying to start meal prepping and planning more to save money, so her blog posts are perfect for me to learn from.

Welcome Heather, it is lovely to have you here!

Don’t feel intimidated by anyone here. We all started off knowing nothing and figuring it out as we went along!

I’m so excited for you. I’ve found blogging to be the most amazing journey. For starters it’s good for my mental health – writing helps me stay safe! Plus it’s a way for me to earn from the things I’m passionate about. And of course I can be home with my kids and work flexible hours.

It is the perfect career for moms!

And we have a number of newbie bloggers here that you can connect with too as you start your journey.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions! In fact I’m going to be adding a new forum section soon where any member can ask for advice and support from the other members if they get stuck.

    Have fun!

Oh and I forgot! If you are free on Friday morning at 8h30am (GMT+2) then join us in our Facebook group – one of the admins- Lauren Kinghorn – will be going live 🤗

She will be sharing what’s new here on the website and you will be able to ask her some questions which I know she would love to answer.

We still have to announce this news properly in the Facebook group and here! So you are the first to know!

Thank you Lynne for the encouraging words.

I will try to make the Facebook live. I have to figure out the time difference. I think it will end up being 11:30pm Previous Day for me, which I’m usually up late working on my blog anyways. 🙂

Hi Heather, Congratulations on your 13-year Anniversary!

Lovely to meet you and wishing you well with your new Mommy Blog. Hope to be able to help you reach your blogging goals. Very excited to watch your progress.

I really enjoyed reading your introduction. I love the name for your blog, it’s a similar sentiment to my breastfeeding blog, Happy Human Pacifier.… well it started out as a Breastfeeding blog but it’s become about all things motherhood since I started accepting guest posts.

    Wishing you all the best

I love your blog name, Heather! So good to have you in the group!
No need to feel intimidated… I must say, I probably would not be able to manage 2 kids. I don’t have any kids yet, and looking after myself and my husband feels like a full time job to me. I really take my hat off to mothers, you ladies do an incredible job!

I really enjoyed reading the blog you posted in yesterday’s engagement thread. And I’m excited to see all the content you have to come.

Hi Heather! Great to read your introduction! It’s amazing that you went back to finish your degree. I also think it is wonderful that you decided to start a blog, especially about motherhood/pregnancy–such important topics and I know moms and moms to be are always looking for this info. I wish you all the best in your venture. Do feel free to reach out for any support. I am enjoying connecting with you on the engagement threads! And happy 4th to your little girl. They grow up too soon!
