Diamond Kelley| Creative, Christian Blogger| Wholesome Author & Illustrator 2

Hello everyone! I’m Diamond and I’ve only just jumped into the beautiful headache that is blogging! And I only say headache because I’m totally clueless on certain blogging aspects, but I’m confident this group will be extremely helpful 🙂

Currently, I’m a junior in college majoring in English. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve changed my major throughout college! From a psychologist to athletic nutritionist, you name it and I’ve probably aspired to be it. But in the end, I feel as though writing, which has always been one of my greatest passions alongside drawing, gives me inner peace so I’ll pursue that route (even if my entire family wants me in med school!) And do you want to know the saddest part about all of this? I don’t even enjoy reading that much because I have the attention span of a two-year-old and the memory of a 90 year old man! Still creative writing is my heart and it’s crazy what you’ll fall in love with.

I became a self-published author and illustrator my first year of college and have been obsessed with writing and building my business ever since. My digital business, Heavenly Storybook, has had a thousand ups and downs that have left me discouraged and almost wanting to give up. But in reality, my business is like my baby and I won’t stop nurturing it until I reach my goals. I hope to become a best-selling author one day and to expand my adorable, peaceful community. 🙂 My blogs will focus on Christian faith (the backbone and inspiration of everything I do in life), life tips, creativity, kiddie fun, and my journey through authorship. I hope to make genuine friends in this group so that we all may grow our passions together!

*I commented on Lauren Kinghorn’s post. She exudes success and confidence and seeing that she is an author of a unique book as well as a digital entrepreneur like myself, really drove me to her.
*I also commented on Jill du Preez’s post. Her creativity in sewing and the arts attracted me to her blogs. I also connected with her with being a VA in the past who has fallen in love with blogging.

I think it is amazing that you are following your passion @heavenlystorybook – if you love something you should try and make that the thing you do for a career. I am so happy now that I am blogging – I feel excited every day to get up and get to it!
Don’t stress about the blogging aspects – you have a whole community of bloggers here to chat to and learn from. It does seem like it in the beginning that there is so much to learn but once you have the basics you will be flying along.
I am hoping to get into creating some tutorials here soon!
I find it really interesting that you chose @jillalexa and @lauren as the members that stood out for you! Do you know that Jill is Lauren’s mom? I can’t remember if they included that in their Intro’s!
I look forward to chatting more with you! Have a wonderful weekend!

They are both amazing ladies! And yes blogging excites me a lot – I love the fact that I can work from home and be here for my kids and make a full time income. It is the best thing ever! I can’t wait to share some of the things I have learned along the way!
And don’t get excited I’m not an online guru millionaire driving a Porsche… I’m just a mom at home and I drive a Toyota hahaha. But I have learned some really cool things over the last 7+ years that can help you along your way!

I’m off to bed, but if you have any more questions don’t be shy to ask!

Hi @heavenlystorybook! I can really relate to your story. In high school I was interested in the sciences and biology. By the time I went to university I wanted to study music. Then ended up majoring in psychology and media studies. Now, I’m a social media specialist and baker! I could never decide which path to take.
I’m really excited to see what you’ll bring to this group!

I love your introduction and thank you for accepting my friend request. I changed up my major as well quite a few times until it lined up with my heart and passion—human services and health care was the best fit for me. I’m passionate about helping people soar in life. I am a Christian too—souled out for Christ. I’m excited about being in this group. And I am excited about connecting with everyone here. Hugs to you and everyone reading my reply. Blessings to you all. Nice to meet you, Diamond!
    Your new friend,
    Sherica 🙂

@heavenlystorybook I really enjoyed reading your intro and hope you come back and join us! You said you’re a published author, I would really love to read some of your work! College is hard but can be fun as well if you enjoy what you are studying. I have two degrees but my passion is cooking, saving money, teaching others how to save, and meal planning of course. I hope to hear from you soon I want to read your work 🙂

So fabulous you followed your heart, Diamond! @heavenlystorybook I can identify with that–my family had other plans for me, but I rebelled and did what I was passionate about. It wasn’t easy, but nothing worth accomplishing ever is! How amazing that you’ve published and illustrated a book! I am sure you’ll write many more and I look forward to supporting you in the group! All the very best to you!
